Whiskey-Aged Ipswich Ales: Limited Availability
|
 Ipswich Oatmeal Stout: It's what espresso would be if it had the gumption to be beer. We use Carapils hops, specially selected crystal malts, roasted barley, and oatmeal to give it a soft and silky mouth feel.
We've taken this deep, rich, and malty beer and aged it in charred American white oak barrels that has stored Dickle Tennessee Sippin' Whiskey for up to 12 years. Before being filled with Whiskey the interior of the barrel is charred to caramelize the wood sugars, forming a layer of flavor called The Red Layer. Once we've aged our beers long enough it is cask-conditioned in a firkin or pin.
Only about 50 gallons of this beer will be released. Keep an eye out at Boston and New York City beer bars to enjoy a pint.
This is the second release of Whiskey-Aged Ipswich Ales. First was an Ipswich Scotch Ale and coming up next is Ipswich Dark Ale. Stay tuned as we continue to age more of our award-winning Ipswich Ales.

Our caffeine-free and corn syrup-free sodas use fun flavors coupled with pure cane sugar for a clean and refreshing taste. All are made with the care and attention we use in producing Ipswich Ale and Stone Cat Ales & Lagers.
