Ipswich Ale was chosen Reader's Choice for Best Locally Brewed Beer in Northshore Magazine's 2007 "Best of North Shore" (BONS) Awards. Join us for a tasting of Ipswich and Stone Cat Ales before we leave the harbor and raise sails in the open ocean, heading north or south along the coast as the wind dictates.

Gloucester Waterfront Festival
Sunday August 19th - Stage Fort Park, Gloucester, MA
Artists and craftsmen from throughout the U.S. will display their unique creations along this picture perfect seaport setting. A traditional New England Lobster Bake on Sunday afternoon complement Ipswich Ales being poured from our Tapmobile!

Essex Music Festival
Saturday August 25th - Essex, MA
Enjoy our fine microbrews while listening to the best old time bluegrass and blues music in a beautiful setting along Chebacco Lake. All proceeds go to restoration of Centennial Grove on Chebacco Lake. Featuring our Tapmobile!

Ipswich Ale Beer Dinner - The Rudder Restaurant
Wednesday September 26th - Gloucester, MA
The Rudder Restaurant is located in one of the few remaining landmarks on Rocky Neck dating from the age of sail. Join us for Ipswich Ales and great food as we celebrate The Rudder's 50 year anniversary.


About Mercury Brewing Company
Mercury Brewing Company emerged in 1999 when Rob Martin, then Director of Operations for Ipswich Brewing Company, purchased the brewery and renamed the company Mercury Brewing and Distribution Company. While continuing production of Ipswich Ale, Martin expanded the company with Stone Cat Ales and Lagers, Mercury Premium Sodas, and numerous contract brewing agreements.

2006 production topped 10,000 BBLS (310,000 GAL) keeping Mercury's 19 full-time employees hard at work bringing the freshest hand-crafted beverages to beer aficionados in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York City, New Jersey, and NE Pennsylvania.
